The NFL playoffs get underway this weekend with the Wildcard matches. It doesn’t get more simple than this. Win and you advance, lose and your season is over until next time.

The two matches on Saturday see the Buffalo Bills travel to take on Houston Texans while defending champions New England Patriots will need to do it the hard way this year if they are to retain their title. They play host to the Tennessee Titans.

This is where all the hard work starts to pay off. Check out these prop bets for both games and enjoy the action. We have covered three prop bets for each game in the AFC this weekend.

Houston Texans might have slipped up in their final regular game of the season, but this weekend is a lot different. There is so much riding on this game. Their passionate fanbase will be loud and proud this weekend and they will be back at full-strength.

The Texans were crushed 35-14 by Tennessee Titans – who needed the result more –but it will be different on Saturday. Jameis Winston will be back for the Texans and his throwing arm will be the major difference.

He will be the key to victory. If he finds his targets then there is no reason why the Texans can’t win this by two or three touchdowns. But you have to take into account that Houston has only won by 14 more points twice this season. On that, we are backing them to win this by 1-13 points.

Bills @ Texans – Home Team Score First And Win – Including Overtime (+163)

Sixty minutes is a long time in football. It feels even longer if you are behind early on. Expect both teams to try and score with their first play.

Home advantage is massive during Wildcard Weekend. We that the Texans will be ruthless in offense and defense. The Texans will take the lead early on with a field goal, just to calm everyone down. They will then do enough to grind out a result and advance to week two.

A Safety To Be Scored (Yes +1150)

During the regular weekly rounds, both the Texans and the Bills have managed to register a safety. You might not think that is so special, but only 14 of the 32 teams have managed to do them.

The defense will be on top for both teams, if that is the case for all four quarters then this might not be a high scoring affair.

Expect both the O-Line and D-Line to start getting desperate as the clock ticks on. This will lead to more chances and sacks, by the end of the fourth quarter, one team will have secured a safety.

Tennessee Titans @ New England Patriots – First to 10 points (NE -190)

The Patriots did not get off to a great start in their final game against Miami Dolphins in week 17. Tom Brady will want to rectify that. He might only really have Julian Edelman to throw to, but he will do it when the time is right.

I personally do not think the Patriots are good enough this season to win the Super Bowl. But they certainly have enough in the locker to get past the Titans with relative ease.

First Scoring Play – Home Team Touchdown (+165)

Again, Brady will not be happy with the way he has started most games this season. This is the time he has to put it all together. Although it will probably be too late for them to actually push for the title, they will start this game quick and be too strong for the Titans.

Money Line/Total Points Parlay – New England to win & under 43.5 points

The Patriots will have way too much for the Titans, even without being at their best. But this will not be a high scoring encounter.

Only six of their games this season has seen over 43.5 points scored. They actually lost three of them, so expect them to win this game but the scoring will not be that high.

Brady and company will do enough in the first three quarters to book their place in week two of the play-offs. They will then do enough to keep the Titans at bay in the fourth. For what it’s worth, we believe this will be the only win for the Patriots in this year’s playoffs.
