- Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers have already clinched the NL West title, but they are still in the race for the best record in the MLB. The Dodgers are two games behind the Astros and a game behind the Yankees. At least, they don’t need to worry about the top spot in the National League.
On the other side, the Rockies cannot wait to wrap up a disappointing season. They are sitting bottom of the NL West 3.5 games behind the Padres, and only Pittsburgh and Miami have the worse record in the National League than Colorado.
The Rockies won six of their last nine games, but they are 8-18 over the last 26 outings. Also, they are just 1-9 in the last ten showings on the road. The Dodgers are 10-5 in their last 15 contests and 5-3 in the previous eight outings at home.
The Dodgers have been dominating the Rockies lately, and I expect this trend to continue. They are 17-3 in the last 20 meetings with the Rockies, and 15 of those 17 wins came by two or more runs. Also, the Dodgers won 11 straight home encounters with the Rockies.
Clayton Kershaw (3.05 ERA; 1.05 WHIP) will toe the slab for the Dodgers, and the lefty is 14-5 this season. Kershaw is 6-3 in his last nine starts and 22-8 in 41 starts against the Rockies in his career. The Dodgers are 17-3 in Clayton’s last 20 starts versus Rockies.
Rookie Peter Lambert (6.98 ERA; 1.71 WHIP) will get the ball for the visitors, and he’s 3-6 in 18 starts. The Rockies lost four of their last five outings with Lambert on the mound.
I expect Kershaw to put on another strong performance against the Rockies. The Dodgers should easily earn their 12th straight home win over Colorado, so take them t cover the spread.
- Los Angeles Dodgers -155 over Colorado Rockies by two or more runs

- Air Force Falcons vs. Boise State Broncos
The Mountain West showdown from Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho, will see the Air Force Falcons taking on the Boise State Broncos. The Falcons won both their contests this season and covered the spread, while the Broncos are 3-0 straight up and 2-1 ATS on the season.
The Falcons rely on their ground game, tallying 356.0 rushing yards per game. Their QB Donald Hammond didn’t throw a single pass in Week 1, but he scored three touchdowns in a 48-7 win to Colgate. RB Kadin Remsberg has recorded 32 carries for 208 yards and three TD so far.
On the other side, the Broncos lean more on their passing game. QB Hank Bachmeier tossed for 927 yards, four TD, and three interceptions. Robert Mahone is leading the backfield with 37 carries for 215 yards and two touchdowns.
The Broncos are allowing 108.7 rushing yards per game. They should be capable of dealing with the Falcons’ rushing. In that case, I think the Falcons don’t stand a chance at Albertsons Stadium, so I’m backing the hosts to cover.
Last year, the Broncos defeated the Falcons 48-38 as 10-points road favorites. In 2017, the Broncos thrashed off Air Force 44-19 as 17.5-point home favorites. The Broncos are 6-1 straight up and 4-3 ATS in their last seven home games, while the Falcons are 2-6 straight up and 4-4 ATS in their previous eight road contests.
- Boise State Broncos -7.0 at -110
