  • San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The NL West showdown at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles will see the San Francisco Giants going against the Los Angeles Dodgers. While the hopeless Giants are nine games behind the wild-card spot, the Dodgers are battling for the best record in the league.

This will be their 14th meeting of the season, and the Dodgers lead the series 8-5. Likewise, the Dodgers are 5-1 in their last six matchups with San Francisco and 10-4 in the previous 14 meetings in LA. Three of the Dodgers’ last four home wins over the Giants came by two or more runs.

We’ll see a great duel between two aces. Jeff Samardzija will get the ball for the Giants, while Clayton Kershaw will toe the slab for the Dodgers. From this point of view, the Dodgers have an advantage on the mound.

Samardzija is 9-11 this season with a 3.61 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP. The Giants lost three straight games with him on the mound. Kershaw is 13-4 in 2019 with a 2.96 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. Although the Dodgers lost two straight games with him on the mound, Kershaw is 5-2 in his last seven starts.

Likewise, Samardzija is 1-5 against the Dodgers in his career, while Kershaw is 23-11 against the Giants. Furthermore, the Dodgers are 9-2 in their last 11 outings at home, covering the spread six time in the process. Hereof, take the Dodgers to cover.

Los Angeles Dodgers -113 over San Francisco Giants by two or more runs

  • Sacramento State Hornets vs. Arizona State Sun Devils

The Sacramento State Hornets compete in the Big Sky Conference, so it’s no wonder they are massive underdogs against the member of the Pac-12 South, Arizona State Sun Devils. Although the Hornets opened with a 77-19 victory over Southern Oregon, they will have a mountain to climb at Sun Devil Stadium.

Arizona State defeated Kent State 30-7 in Week 1, and freshman Jayden Daniels had an impressive debut. Daniels tossed for 284 yards and a couple of touchdowns while adding another TD on his own. Eno Benjamin had 22 carries for 102 yards, while Brandon Aiyuk had four receptions for 140 yards and a TD.

The Sun Devils are undoubtedly a better team than the Hornets who lost seven straight games before a victory over Southern Oregon. The bookies expect to see a high-scoring affair, setting the line at 63.5 points. Hereof, the hosts should be able to cover a huge spread.

The Sun Devils are just 1-4 ATS in their last five outings. On the other hand, they are 8-4 ATS in the last 12 showings at home. Hereof, the clash against the Hornets seems like a nice opportunity for another convincing victory at home. Go with the hosts to cover.

  • Arizona State Sun Devils -36.0 at -110
