  • Miami Dolphins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The hapless Miami Dolphins visit the Pittsburgh Steelers who desperately need a win to stay in the playoff picture. The visitors are still winless in 2019 and would like to stay that way, tanking for No. 1 pick at the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Steelers are coming fresh off a bye. They will win this clash. It’s no brainer. However, covering two touchdowns is always a gamble, especially on a team without their starting QB. On the other hand, the Steelers’ defense should shut down the Dolphins.

The Steelers allowed 15.3 points per game over their previous three outings. They went 2-0-1 ATS in that span, and the total hit under on two occasions. Mason Rudolph should be back under center, but the Steelers will rely on their defensive unit once more.

The under has hit in the previous two meetings between Miami and Pittsburgh. Back in 2017, the Steelers outlasted the Dolphins 30-12 as 11.5-point home favorites. I don’t feel comfortable with a spread, so I will take the under.

  • Florida Panthers vs. Vancouver Canucks

The Panthers (5-2-4) are coming off an excellent 6-2 victory at Edmonton last night. It was their third win over the last four outings, while the Panthers scored 11 goals in their last two games.

On the other side, the Canucks (6-3-1) blew a four-goal lead and lost in a shootout to Washington this past Friday. It was their first home loss of the season, while the Canucks are 6-2 in their last eight outings.

The Panthers could struggle with fatigue tonight. They are 2-6 on the back end of their last eight back-to-back sets. The Canucks, on the other side, had three days to recover from a painful loss and prepare for this clash.

Vancouver is 5-4 in its last nine meetings with Florida and 7-3 in the previous ten encounters in Canada. There will be some tired legs among the Panthers. Also, I think they cannot put on another dominant offensive performance. Give me the hosts to win at money line odds.

  • Vancouver Canucks -114 over Florida Panthers

  • Indiana Pacers vs. Detroit Pistons

Indiana and Detroit will already meet each other for the second time this season. The Pistons outlast the Pacers 119-110 as 7.5-point road dogs in the opener, winning the fourth quarter by 12 points. Andre Drummond was a beast with 32 points and 23 rebounds, while the Pistons shot 52.6% from the field.

However, the Pistons dropped their next two games. They lost to Atlanta 117-100 and Philadelphia 117-111 while playing some poor defense. They are still without Blake Griffin (hamstring), while Reggie Jackson will almost certainly stay sidelined with a back injury.

On the other side, the Pacers are looking for their first win of the season. After losing to Detroit, the Pacers completely disappointed their fans with a 110-99 defeat at Cleveland. The Pacers are struggling on both sides of the ball, although Malcolm Brogdon is averaging 26.0 points and 10.5 assists per game.

I expect the Pacers to bounce back tonight. They should learn a lesson in the opener. The Pistons rely a lot on Drummond and Derrick Rose and will have a tall task to beat the Pacers twice in a row. Detroit is only 1-6 SU and 0-7 ATS in its last seven games at home. Give me the Pacers and points.

  • Indiana Pacers -2.0 at -110
