FREE NHL BETTING PICK OF THE DAY

  • New Jersey Devils vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Both New Jersey and Carolina will play back-to-back. The Devils lost to Philadelphia 4-3 in a shootout last night. The Hurricanes thrashed off Detroit 7-3. New Jersey is 4-11 on the back end of its last 15 back-to-back sets, while Carolina 10-3 in the previous 13.

The Devils are struggling defensively. They are 30th in the NHL in goals against (4.00), while Carolina is 7th (2.54). Likewise, the Hurricanes are 9th in the league in goals per game (3.46), so their offense should make a difference.

Over the last six head-to-head duels, both New Jersey and Carolina have been victorious three times. Carolina has won the previous three encounters at home. New Jersey has dropped six of its last seven road games. Give me the hosts to win even though the odds are not attractive.

  • Carolina Hurricanes -190 over New Jersey Devils

FREE NBA BETTING PICK OF THE DAY

  • Denver Nuggets vs. Orlando Magic

Orlando was humiliated at home last night. The Magic lost to Milwaukee 123-91. At least, they rested key players for tonight’s clash with the Nuggets. Orlando is 4-2 SU and 4-1-1 ATS on the second night of their last six back-to-back sets.

Denver lost two straight games to Dallas 109-106 at home and New Orleans 122-107 on the road. The Nuggets will be keen to bounce back from an ugly defeat at the Pelicans. They are 6-0 SU and ATS in the last six encounters with the Magic.

Likewise, the Nuggets won five of their last six road games against the Magic. They are 5-1 ATS in that span. Denver struggles against the teams who play at the fast pace, and Orlando is tallying only 97.6 possessions per 48 minutes (tied-29th in the NBA).

Nikola Jokic has problems with physically dominant big men in the league. Nikola Vucevic is not one of those guys. I’m taking the Nuggets here.

  • Denver Nuggets -4.0 at -110

  • UNLV Rebels vs. Colorado State Rams

The Colorado State Rams are 3-5 on the season and desperately need a win over the Rebels to keep the chance of staying bowl eligible. On the other side, the Rebels are 2-6 at the moment, and another loss would mean the end of their hopes.

Both teams have struggled defensively thus far. The Rams are surrendering 33.9 points per game (112th in the CFB), while the Rebels are allowing 34.1 points per contest (113th). However, the Rams’ are 19th in the country in total yards per game (473.9) while scoring 31.0 points (53rd).

The Rebels are tallying 24.4 points per contest (96th) on just 375.4 total yards (91st). Hereof, I would rely on the Rams’ offense to make a difference.

Likewise, the Rams are 6-0 SU and ATS in their last six home encounters with the Rebels and 7-2 SU and ATS in the previous nine meetings overall. UNLV lost five straight games as a road dog of eight or fewer points, covering once in that span. Give me the hosts to cover.

  • Colorado State Rams -7.0 at -110
