FREE NFL BETTING PICK OF THE DAY

  • Detroit Lions vs. Oakland Raiders

The interconference clash in the Black Hole should be a firecracker. Both Detroit (3-3-1; 4-3 ATS) and Oakland (3-4; 4-3 ATS) desperately need a win, and each team can only rely on its offense.

The Lions are 26th in the NFL in points allowed per game (26.6), while the Raiders are 28th (27.4). Likewise, both teams are terrible against the pass, sitting bottom of the NFL rankings. Detroit allows 289.7 passing yards per game, while Oakland surrenders 288.0 passing yards per contest.

Also, both teams can rely on their signal-callers, especially the Lions who lost their starting RB Kerryon Johnson. Matthew Stafford tossed for 2093 yards 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Derek Carr tossed for 1695 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four picks.

Considering Stafford and Carr’s current form, we should see them torturing their rivals today. The over has hit in four of Detroit and Oakland’s last five games overall. Give me the over on the totals.

  • Calgary Flames vs. Washington Capitals

The Flames (8-6-2) will play back-to-back after an excellent 3-0 victory at Columbus. It was their second straight win on the road. The Flames defeated Nashville 6-5 in overtime this past Thursday. They are 1-3 on the second night of their last four back-to-back sets.

On the other side, the Capitals (10-2-3) are riding a three-game winning streak following a 6-1 victory to Buffalo on Friday. They won seven of the last eight contests overall including a 5-3 victory at Calgary last week.

The Flames are building up their form, but I think the Capitals are in better shape at the moment. Also, the visitors could struggle with fatigue, while the hosts had one day to rest after a dominant performance against the Sabres.

The Capitals won 14 of their last 20 games at home and 10-4 in their previous 14 home matchups with the Pacific Division. Also, the Capitals are 10-5 in their last 15 meetings with the Flames, so I’m backing them to win tonight.

  • Washington Capitals -175 over Calgary Flames

  • Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Clippers

The Jazz has dominated the Clippers over the last two seasons. Utah is 6-1 SU and ATS in its last seven meetings with the Clippers. Just four days ago, the Jazz thrashed off the Clippers 110-96 as 6-point home favorites.

However, the Clippers missed Kawhi Leonard on Wednesday. The Claw returned the next day, leading the Clippers to a 103-97 win over the Spurs. He had 38 points, 12 rebounds, and four steals.

On the other side, Utah completely disappointed on Friday, losing at the Sacramento Kings 102-101. It was the Kings’ first win of the season. The Jazz are 1-7 SU and 2-6 ATS in their previous eight games on the road.

I expect the Clippers to win this clash. They will be keen to finally beat the Jazz and get a payoff for that loss on Wednesday. Give me the hosts to cover.

  • Los Angeles Clippers -4.5 at -110
