FREE MLB BETTING PICK OF THE DAY
- Houston Astros vs. Washington Nationals
After dropping the first two games at home, the Astros won two straight at Nationals Park to tie the 2019 World Series. The momentum is now on their side, and Game 5 promises some thrilling action.
Both teams will bring their starters from the opening clash of the series that the Nationals won 5-4. Gerrit Cole will take the mound for the Astros, while Max Scherzer will toe the slab for the Nationals.
Cole suffered his first loss since May 22, while the Astros didn’t lose with him on the mound since July 12. The right-hander pitched seven innings, allowing eight hits and five earned runs while striking out six.
On the other side, Scherzer is undefeated this postseason. He’s 3-0 in four starts and one relief appearance with a 2.16 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. The Nationals won all those five contests. The right-hander pitched five innings in Game 1, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out seven.
Whoever wins tonight will be one step away from winning the World Series. I expect to see a top performance by both starting pitchers. Therefore, I would avoid taking the side bet and go with the totals instead. Give me the under.

FREE NFL BETTING PICK OF THE DAY
- Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Rams
The banged-up Bengals are 0-7 SU and 3-4 ATS on the season. With all injury problems among their defensive unit, I think they will be blown away in this one. The Bengals allow 26.6 points per game (24th in the NFL). Their run defense is the worst in the league, surrendering 189.0 yards per outing.
On the other side, the Rams want to stay on the winning path. Jalen Ramsey improved their fragile secondary, while the Bengals’ ground game won’t stand a chance. Cincinnati is racking up the fewest rushing yards in football (53.1). The Bengals are scoring only 16.3 points per game (16.3 in the NFL).
The Rams are coming off a 37-10 victory at Atlanta in Week 7. They snapped a three-game losing streak. The Rams are scoring 27.1 points per game (tied-6th), and this is a nice opportunity for their ground game to make some improvements.
Keep in mind this game will be played at Wembley Stadium in London, UK. So, both teams are visitors, and I will just ignore the fact that the Bengals are 7-1 ATS in their last eight outings on the road. Give me the Rams and points.

- Los Angeles Kings vs. Chicago Blackhawks
Both Los Angeles and Chicago will play back-to-back tonight. The Kings (4-7-0) lost at Minnesota 5-1 last night, recording their second straight defeat. On the other side, the Blackhawks (2-5-2) are riding a four-game losing streak following a 4-0 defeat at Carolina.
Interestingly, both teams are sitting bottom of their divisions. The Kings are 7-1 in their last eight meetings with the Blackhawks and 4-1 in their previous five visits to Chicago. However, the Kings are only 5-14 in their last 19 outings on the road.
Likewise, the Kings are dead last in goals against (3.90), while the Blackhawks are 17th (3.13). I think the Blackhawks are not that bad to lose another game in a row. Hereof, I’m backing Chicago to grab a win in front of the home audience.

- Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
The Warriors were humiliated in their opening game of the season. They lost 141-122 to the Clippers and should be highly motivated to bounce back at Oklahoma City (0-2; 1-1 ATS). The hosts are coming off a 97-85 loss to the Wizards.
The Thunder entered the rebuilding process, and they should be one of the worst teams in the NBA this season. On the other side, the Warriors will battle for the playoff spot, so they have to win games like this one.
Both teams changed their rosters a lot this summer, and I think the betting trends are not credible. Still, the Warriors are 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 meetings with the Thunder and 5-1 SU and ATS in the previous six encounters in Oklahoma City.
The Warriors have a huge motive, while the Thunder will tank this season. Therefore, I have to go with the Warriors today, especially with that 1-point spread.
