- Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota Twins
The Twins need a couple of wins to clinch the AL Central title. This will be their ultimate home clash of the regular season. Hereof, the Twins should beat the Royals on Sunday and give their fans something to cheer about until the playoffs start.
Entering Saturday’s clash at Target Field, the Twins were 12-3 in their last 15 meetings with the Royals. Also, the Twins were 13-2 in the previous 15 head-to-head duels in Minneapolis. Nine of those 13 home wins came by two or more runs.
Martin Perez will take the mound for the Twins. The lefty is 10-7 this season with a 4.92 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP. Minnesota won five of his last seven starts and covered four times in that span. Jorge Lopez will get the starting call for the Royals. The right-hander is 4-8 this season with a 5.93 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP.
The Royals are 15-26 against the southpaw starter this season, so I’m looking for a dominant performance by Martin Perez. Also, the Twins are the second-most efficient team in the league, and Lopez will have a tough day on the mound.
Although this is the divisional showdown, the Royals have nothing to play for. On the other side, the Twins will look to get one step closer to the AL Central title. Therefore, I’m backing the hosts to cover.
- Minnesota Twins -110 over Kansas City Royals by two or more runs

- New York Jets vs. New England Patriots
The Patriots released Antonio Brown on Friday after another accusation for sexual misconduct. Brown played just one game as a Patriot, and the reigning champs should continue with a strong performance without him.
After thrashing off the Steelers 33-3 in the opener at home, the Pats smashed the Marlins 43-0 on the road in Week 2. They are playing terrific defense, so I think the wounded Jets will be in big trouble at Gillette Stadium.
The Jets lost their starting QB Sam Darnold due to mononucleosis, while his backup Trevor Siemian is done for the season with an ankle injury. Although Le’Veon Bell (shoulder) will be ready to go, the Jets’ offense will struggle with the third-string QB in the starting lineup.
The Jets’ defense still can do a good job, but I think the visitors will fail to cover. Their offense seemed terrible against the Browns in Week 2, and I don’t see how they will improve against the reigning champs.
Likewise, the Patriots are 6-0 ATS in their last six games overall and 14-3 ATS in the previous 17 at home. The Jets are 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 contests and 2-5 in the previous seven on the road. The Pats are 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings with the Jets and 3-0-1 ATS in the last four encounters at Gillette Stadium.
- New England Patriots -21.0 at -110

- New York City vs. FC Dallas
While New York City is topping the Eastern Conference, FC Dallas is the No. 7 seed in the West. The Hoops desperately need three points here to hold on the playoff spot. On the other side, the visitors can afford a loss even though Atlanta was just six points behind them prior to this weekend.
New York City is undefeated in seven straight games, recording six wins and a draw in the process. Also, the Pigeons won two games in a row on the road. However, they conceded in ten straight outings away from home, suffering three losses in that span.
On the other side, the Hoops couldn’t score in their last two outings, still earning a draw at Chicago. They are on a three-game winning streak at home, scoring whopping 13 goals in that stretch. The Hoops are unbeaten in nine consecutive games at home, tallying six wins and three ties.
Although the Pigeons are playing in a good form at the moment, I think the Hoops will win this one at home. In two home encounters with New York City, FC Dallas recorded a 2-1 win and a 1-1 draw. Likewise, the visitors will miss striker Heber (thigh), while playmaker Maximiliano Moralez (muscle) is doubtful.
- FC Dallas to Win at +120
