- Toronto Blue Jays vs. Tampa Bay Rays
After a two-month absence due to a forearm injury, Tyler Glasnow will take the mound for the Tampa Bay Rays. According to the manager Kevin Cash, Glasnow will pitch two innings against Toronto. Tyler is 6-1 in eight starts this season, tallying a 1.86 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP.
Even if Glasnow feels uncomfortable, the Rays’ pitching staff is the second-best in baseball with a 3.61 ERA. The Rays hold the wild-card spot just one game ahead of Cleveland, so beating the Blue Jays is a must. Prior to Saturday’s clash, Tampa Bay was 14-4 in its last 18 home encounters with Toronto.
Rookie Jacob Waguespack will toe the slab for the visitors. He’s 4-3 in nine starts and three relief appearances, recording a 3.97 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. However, the Blue Jays lost three straight contests with Jacob on the mound.
The Blue Jays lost 14 of their last 17 games overall and nine of the last ten away from home. On the other side, the Rays won eight of their last ten games overall and eight of the previous ten at home. Considering the importance of this clash, the Rays should thrash off the Blue Jays.

- New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys open at home as strong favorites to beat their divisional rivals New York Giants. Ezekiel Elliott has signed a new contract and is ready to play. The Cowboys’ defense should be a strong weapon once again, so it’s no strange the hosts are listed as 7-point favorites.
On the other side, the Giants enter another season with Eli Manning under center. Over the last five years, the Giants had a winning record just once. The second-year RB Saquon Barkley will lead their offense, but it’s not enough to launch a serious playoff campaign.
The Cowboys are 4-0 straight up and ATS against the Giants over the last two seasons. In 2018, the Cowboys defeated the Giants 20-13 in Texas and 36-35 in New York. Likewise, Dallas is 5-1 straight up and 4-1-1 ATS in its last six home encounters with the Giants.
Although the Giants covered the spread in seven straight outings on the road, I think they will struggle against the Cowboys’ defense. Also, they will have a tall task to slow down Zeke who’ll be highly motivated to prove his worth. Therefore, I’m backing Dallas to beat the Giants and cover.
