- Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees
Gerrit Cole and the Astros’ bullpen dominated the Yankees in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the AL Championship Series. After a 7-0 loss in the opener, the Astros won two straight games, so the Yanks desperately need to bounce back Wednesday night.
At this moment, we don’t know who will take the mound in Game 4. It could be a bullpen game for both sides, while bad weather could easily push this clash to Thursday. Under these circumstances, it’s tough to make the right wager.
I would go with the Yankees whose bullpen did a good job last night after Luis Severino allowed five hits and two earned runs in 4.1 innings of work. Also, the Yanks’ bats will be keen to get on the right track after scoring just three runs over the previous two contests.

- Buffalo Sabres vs. Anaheim Ducks
The Buffalo Sabres are off to a flying start but will need to prove their good form away from home. The Sabres are only 2-15 in their previous 17 outings on the road and 1-7 in their last eight road matchups with the Western Conference.
On the other side, the Ducks have just finished their four-game road trip, winning two games in the process. They are coming home where they’ve started the season with a couple of wins over Arizona and San Jose. Anaheim is 7-1 in its last eight home games.
While Buffalo is the 4th-most efficient team in the league with 4.00 goals per game, Anaheim is averaging only 2.17 which are the 4th-fewest in the NHL. However, the Ducks are surrendering 1.67 goals in a return which are the fewest in the league. I would lean on the hosts’ defense in this one.

- South Alabama Jaguars vs. Troy Trojans
The Sun Belt showdown at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama, will see the South Alabama Jaguars taking on the Troy Trojans. Both teams are coming fresh off a bye, looking for their first win in the conference play this season.
The Jaguars (1-5; 3-3 ATS) are riding a four-game losing streak including a double-overtime defeat to Georgia Southern in Week 6. They are allowing 29.3 points per game (84th in the country), scoring only 16.8 in a return (122nd).
On the other side, the Trojans (2-3; 1-4 ATS) are surrendering 32.0 points per contest (101st) while tallying 34.6 in a return (34.6). They lost two straight games, while the Trojans also dropped their previous two contests at home.
In those two home losses, the Trojans were allowing 48.5 points per game, scoring 42.5 in a return. Their offense is doing a good job, but the Trojans cannot stop anyone on the defensive end. Hereof, I expect the Jaguars’ poor offense to score a couple of touchdowns, so I’m backing the over.
Last year, the Trojans defeated the Jaguars 38-17 as 11-point road favorites with a total of 52.5 points. The Trojans are 4-3 SU and 3-4 ATS in their last seven meetings with the Jaguars. However, I expect the Trojans’ offense to dominate in this one and help the team to improve their ATS record.
