Week 2 of the 2019 College Football season kicks off with three interesting games Friday night. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are listed as slight favorites at home against the North Carolina Tar Heels, as well as the Washington State Cougars at the Houston Cougars. The Boston College Eagles are 21-point home favorites to beat the Kansas Jayhawks.

While you can check out our prediction for the clash at NRG Stadium in Houston here, we would like to take a closer look at the other two contests. It seems like Wake Forest and Boston College could be nice picks for a 7-point teaser.

The ACC showdown from BB&T Field in Winston-Salem will see two undefeated teams taking on each other. Wake Forest defeated Utah State 38-35 at home in Week 1 and Rice 41-21 on the road in Week 2. North Carolina outlasted South Carolina 24-20 in the opener and Miami 28-25 last week.

The Demon Deacons are 3-2 straight up and 2-3 ATS in their last five meetings with the Tar Heels. Also, they are 3-1 SU and ATS in the previous four encounters at BB&T Field. Wake Forest is 5-1 SU in its last six games overall and just 3-5 SU in the last eight outings at home.

On the other side, the Tar Heels are 3-7 SU in their last ten games overall. They are winless in seven straight showings on the road. Considering the betting trends, the Demon Deacons should win tonight’s clash.

Still, teasing the hosts and taking them as 4-point dogs look like a smart move. The Tar Heels play tough defense, so we might see a tight battle. The Demon Deacons’ offense should be too much if Jamie Newman continues with a strong performance. He’s tossed for 713 yards and six touchdowns thus far.

Another ACC team, the Boston College Eagles, will face off against the Big 12 Kansas City Jayhawks at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The Eagles are strong favorites in front of the home fans. However, teasing them to two touchdowns could be the right move.

The Eagles will play at home for the third week in a row. They beat Virginia Tech 35-28 in the opener and Richmond 45-13 in Week 2. The Eagles are averaging 475 total yards per game, allowing 403 in a return.

Anthony Brown has tossed for 438 yards and five touchdowns. A.J. Dillon has 167 rushing yards and three TD, while David Bailey added 135 rushing yards and a TD. The Eagles have a balanced offense, but their defense could be a problem.

They allowed 442 total yards to Virginia Tech and 215 rushing yards to Richmond. The Jayhawks could take advantage of those flaws and stay close tonight. Their RB Khalil Herbert racked up 170 rushing yards over the first two weeks. QB Carter Stanley threw for 348 yards, two TD, and two picks.

Likewise, the Jayhawks surrendered just 17 points to Indiana State in Week 1 victory and 12 points to Coastal Carolina in Week 2 loss. They are allowing 328 total yards per contest. The clash with the Eagles will be the toughest test of the season so far, but the Jayhawks could keep it close.

Boston College is just 1-4 ATS in its last five games overall and 1-3 ATS in the last four at home. Kansas is 3-2 ATS in its last five contests overall and 3-1 ATS in the previous four on the road. These two schools will meet each other for the first time.
