The NFC East clash at MetLife Stadium in New York will close down Week 9 of the 2019 NFL season. The Dallas Cowboys visit the New York Giants as 6.5-point favorites, looking for a win that will keep them on the top of the NFC East standings.

The Cowboys are coming off a bye. They routed the Philadelphia Eagles 37-10 in Week 7 to snap a three-game losing streak. However, the Eagles won their last two games, so the Cowboys are in a must-win situation at MetLife Stadium.

Dallas already visited MetLife Stadium in Week 6 and lost to the New York Jets 24-22 as 7-point road favorites. Now, the Cowboys search for their sixth straight win over the Giants, looking to replicate their performance from Week 1.

The Cowboys easily outlasted the Giants 35-17 as 7-point home favorites in the opener. Dak Prescott lit up the Giants with 405 yards and four touchdown passes. Michael Gallup had seven receptions for 158 yards, while Ezekiel Elliott added 13 carries for 53 yards and a TD.

Since then, things have changed in New York. Eli Manning is not the Giants’ starting QB anymore. Daniel Jones took the helm in Week 3, and he’s tossed for 1466 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions thus far.

However, the Giants are riding a four-game losing streak. Their defense has been awful during that span. They allowed 27 points to Arizona, 28 to Minnesota, and 35 to New England. Last week, the Giants lost at Detroit 31-26.

The Giants allow 27.2 points per game (28th in the NFL) on 386.8 total yards (27th). Their run defense is 23rd in the league, surrendering 122.4 yards per outing. The Giants score 19.8 points per contest (tied 22nd).

On the other side, the Cowboys tally 27.1 points per game (7th) on 437.9 total yards (1st). Their ground game is the 4th-best in the NFL, racking up 146.0 yards per contest. The Cowboys’ defense is also doing a good job, surrendering 17.7 points per game (5th) on 324.9 total yards (9th).

Dallas is 11-1 SU and ATS in its last 12 meetings with the NFC East. The Cowboys are 6-1 SU and ATS in the previous seven road encounters with their division rivals. They are 9-5 SU and 10-4 ATS in the last 14 games when coming off a bye, and the over is 12-2 in that span.

The Giants, on the other side, are 5-15 SU and 5-14-1 ATS in their last 20 outings at home. They are 1-7 SU and ATS in the last eight showings at home as underdogs. Cowboys at Giants – Prop Bets

Ezekiel Elliott has scored a TD in four straight outings. Over the last two games, he had 100-plus rushing yards, too. Zeke is a runaway fave to score tonight with the odds at -250. In his five games against the Giants, Elliott has scored three touchdowns. He also has three TD in three outings on Monday night.

After nine TD passes in the first three weeks, Dak Prescott added only three more in his previous four outings. The clash with the Giants’ defense should be a nice opportunity for Dak to improve his stats. He’s set at -125 odds to throw at least two touchdowns which seems like a fair offer.

Keep in mind that the Giants have allowed 10 rushing touchdowns which are tied for the second-most in the NFL. Also, they’ve allowed 13 TD passes, ranking 21st in the league. On the other side, the Cowboys are 3rd in the NFL with only 13 touchdowns allowed.

Saquon Barkley will be the biggest threat to the Cowboys’ defense. The second-year RB missed three games due to an ankle injury. Since his return in Week 7, Barkley ran for a TD against Arizona and caught a TD against Detroit. He’s a -138 fave to score tonight.

Also, Barkley should surpass the line on his rushing attempts. He had 18 carries against the Cardinals and 19 against the Lions. Barkley is set at -140 odds to carry the football at least 17 times against the Giants.
