Another Thursday Night Football is upon us, bringing the AFC South showdown at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville where the Jaguars welcome the Tennessee Titans. Hereof, we want to take a closer look at the prop bets and odds for this clash so you can get the best betting tips.

The Titans are listed as 1.5-point road favorites. The bookies expect to see a low-scoring affair, setting the line at 39.0 points. Considering all the facts, we should see a proper defensive slog.

The Jaguars lean on their defense and lost their starting QB due to an injury. Without Nick Foles under center, the Jags’ defense will have to play at the highest level. After conceding 40 points against the Chiefs in the opener, the Jaguars showed their defensive talent in a 13-12 defeat at the Houston Texans.

They limited the Texans on 263 total yards while sacking Deshaun Watson four times. On the other side, Gardner Minshew tossed for 213 yards and a TD in his first-ever NFL start. The Jags racked up 281 total yards, and Minshew had six carries for 56 yards, too.

The Titans hammered Cleveland 43-13 in the opener, but they lost to Indianapolis 19-17 in Week 2. Their offense struggled once again, and Marcus Mariota disappointed with miserable 154 yards and a TD. However, the Titans’ defense looked good and should continue with solid displays.

If Deshaun Watson threw for just 159 yards against the Jags, it’s hard to expect Mariota to toss a lot more. The line has been set at 197.5 passing yards on Mariota who’s 6-2 against the Jaguars in his career, averaging 184.9 passing yards per contest.

Taking Mariota in the under seems like a reasonable wager, as well as avoiding Gardner Minshew. On the other hand, the bookies are pretty sure the Titans will pick off Minshew, setting the odds at -200. Minshew threw a pick against the Chiefs in Week 1, while the Titans have recorded four interceptions so far.

Leonard Fournette will be a key guy for the Jags’ offense. After 66 yards on 13 carries versus Kansas City, Fournette had just 47 yards on 15 totes against Houston. The line on Fournette has been set at 70.5 rushing yards with both over and under at -120 odds. The over 19.5 rushing attempts on Fournette pays -115.

On the other side, Derrick Henry will lead the Titans’ backfield. He posted 84 rushing yards against Cleveland and 81 versus Indy. Henry is averaging 85.2 rushing yards in six meetings with Jacksonville and could easily surpass a 74.5-yard mark at -120 odds.

When it comes to the totals, the previous three H2H duels between Jacksonville and Tennessee had 39 or fewer points. The under is 9-3 in the last 12 H2H matchups in Jacksonville. Six of the last nine encounters in Jacksonville saw 36 or fewer points in the total.

Last year, the Titans beat the Jags 9-6 at TIAA Bank Field. If you like to follow the trends, the price on the under 36.5 points is +120. The low-scoring affair will mean we’ll probably see fewer than five touchdowns in the total at -163 odds and more than a couple of field goals at -220 odds.

The Jaguars’ defense has to step up here if they want to beat the Titans. Also, both teams rely on their ground game. I would take the under on the totals with the alternative line at 36.5 points. Still, betting on Leonard Fournette and Derrick Henry to dominate tonight is another interesting option.
