The 2019-20 NBA season started last night, and on the second day, we will see 22 teams in action. There are a few very interesting matchups tonight, but keep in mind that the first two weeks of the season are always tough to wager on.

Therefore, try to play it cool. We have prepared a three-game 5.5-point NBA teaser at +142 odds that you can take with a modest stake.

We’ll start with the interconference clash between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs. If they want to make it to the postseason in the crowded Western Conference, the Spurs have to win the games like this one.

Teasing the Spurs down to five points makes sense. It’s their first game of the season, and the Spurs could be a bit nervous in front of the home audience. On the other side, the Knicks have nothing to lose. They are already written off and considered as one of the weakest teams in the NBA.

The Spurs thrashed off the Knicks 109-83 in Texas last season. They are 3-1 SU and ATS in the previous four encounters with the Knicks. Likewise, the Spurs are 10-2 SU and 7-5 ATS in their last 12 home matchups with the Eastern Conference, while the Knicks are 1-9 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last ten outings on the road.

Furthermore, the Spurs kept their core from the previous season, while the Knicks made a lot of changes this summer. Hereof, I expect the Knicks to need some time to gel the things, backing the Spurs to win this clash comfortably.

The next game on our list will take place at American Airlines Arena in Miami. The Heat hosts the Memphis Grizzlies, and we suggest you tease the hosts and take them as 2-point favorites.

Miami is 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six meetings with Memphis. The Heat barely outlasted the Grizzlies 112-108 as 3.5-point favorites last season. Miami is 8-4 SU and 6-5-1 ATS in its last 12 games at home, while Memphis is 3-10 SU and 6-7 ATS in its last 13 games on the road.

Jimmy Butler arrived in Miami this summer to lead this team back to the playoffs. The Heat will be keen to start on the right foot, but the clash with the Grizzlies could be a tricky one. Memphis is always a tough rival to beat even when everyone writes them off.

The Grizzlies decided to trade Mike Conley away this summer. They drafted Ja Morant with the 2nd overall pick, hoping the talented PG will be a new superstar. With a lot of new players on their roster, the Grizzlies will need some time to pick up the pieces, so I hope the Heat will beat them by three or more points.

Finally, we would tease the Dallas Mavericks down to three points in the opener against the Washington Wizards at home. The Mavs were excellent against the spread last season (45-35-2) and should get the job done in this one.

Kristaps Porzingis will have a debut as a Maverick. Luka Doncic is a reigning Rookie of the Year, so the Mavericks’ fans are so excited about their team. On the other side, the Wizards are considered as one of the weakest teams in the league and will miss John Wall for the entire season.

The Wizards are 3-10 SU and 7-6 ATS in their last 13 outings on the road. Also, they are 3-11 SU and 5-9 ATS in the last 14 road encounters with the Western Conference. The Mavs are 10-3 SU and 8-4-1 ATS in their last 13 home matchups with the Eastern Conference and 5-2 ATS in their previous seven outings in October.
