Wednesday night always brings plenty of picks and markets to the bettors who like the NBA action. We will see 11 games tonight which seems like a nice opportunity to take the NBA teaser. A few teams should satisfy the money line odds, but we are not so sure about the spread.
The Houston Rockets are 2-1 on the season and visit the Washington Wizards who lost two of their first three games. Interestingly, the Rockets are 0-3 ATS, while the Wizards covered on all three occasions.
Although the Rockets are still trying to gel the things, they shouldn’t have any problems to beat the Wizards. However, covering an 8-point spread on the road could be a tricky job, especially at this stage of the season. Therefore, I would tease the Rockets down and take them as 2.5-point favorites.
The Rockets are 6-3 SU and ATS in their last nine meetings with the Wizards and 10-4 SU and ATS in the previous 14 encounters in Washington. Houston is 4-1 SU and 3-1-1 ATS in their previous five road matchups with the Eastern Conference.

On the other hand, the Wizards are 9-4 SU and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 home meetings with the Western Conference. Although they are huge dogs in this one, the Wizards will be highly motivated to prove their worth against one of the best teams in the NBA.
The Wizards’ defensive rating is currently the 10th-best in the league. They are allowing 102.0 points per 100 possessions. Still, the Wizards’ perimeter defense will be on big test against Russell Westbrook and James Harden. These two guys should make a difference against the Wizards’ thin backcourt.
The next team on our list is Sacramento. The Kings are still winless and 0-4 ATS which makes them the biggest disappointment of the season thus far. Now, the Charlotte Hornets (1-3; 2-2 ATS) are coming to town as 7-point road underdogs.
The Kings just have to win this game. Before the start of the season, every sportsbook in the world considered the Hornets as the worst team in the NBA.
Sacramento’s defensive rating is 27th in the league with 113.7 points allowed per 100 possessions. Charlotte’s defensive rating is even worse with 116.2 points surrendered per 100 possessions (28th). However, the Kings’ offensive rating is the worst in the NBA (94.4).
Considering the Hornets’ terrible defense, this is a perfect opportunity for the Kings to finally get the things going on the offensive end. Likewise, I expect the Kings to step up defensively and shut down the Hornets’ offense that is tallying 102.8 points per 100 possessions (20th).
Sacramento is only 2-6 SU and 3-5 ATS in its last eight meetings with Charlotte. On the other hand, the Kings are 10-3 SU and 10-2-1 ATS in their previous 13 home matchups with the Eastern Conference. Charlotte is 1-7 SU and 3-5 ATS in its last eight road matchups with the Western Conference.
I mostly avoid wagering on bad teams, but the Kings arguably have more talent than the Hornets. Also, they are playing in front of the home fans. Hereof, I will tease the Kings and take them as 1.5-point favorites.
With a two-game 5.5-point teaser, you will get around -128 odds. If you want to add another team and get +142 odds, we suggest the clash between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers.
Both teams enter the game undefeated, but the Sixers are 5-0 SU and ATS in their last five encounters with the Timberwolves. Likewise, the Sixers defeated the T-Wolves in five straight meetings in Philadelphia, covering the spread on all five occasions.
The hosts are listed as 6.5-point favorites at the moment. Teasing them down to one point seems like a smart move, considering the Timberwolves’ solid form at the start of the season.
