The Angels will take on the Cubs to close down a three-game interleague series that was played back in April when the closing game was postponed due to bad weather.
The Cubs won the opener 5-1, while the Angels bounced back with a 6-5 victory in the second contest which was their first win over the Cubs in the last six head-to-head duels. The Angels are 2-7 in their last nine meetings with the Cubs and 2-5 in the previous seven H2H matchups in Chicago.
The Angels have been playing well lately, winning six of their last eight games overall and four of their previous five outings on the road prior to their Sunday’s game at Seattle. The Cubs are playing in a poor form, entering their Sunday’s clash at the Cardinals with seven losses in the last nine outings, while they’ve won eight of their last 13 games at home.
The Cubs are 12-4 in their last 16 home encounters with the American League, and this game seems like a nice opportunity to get back on the winning path.
Jon Lester will get the ball for the Cubs, and he’s 3-4 in ten starts this season with a 3.59 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP. The left-hander is 180-102 in his career with a 3.50 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP and 5-4 in his 12 starts against the Angels, while Lester is 26-15 in his 51 starts in interleague matchups.
On the other side, Trevor Cahill will take the hill for the Angels, and he’s 2-5 in 11 starts this season with a 6.92 ERA and a 1.37 WHIP. The right-hander is 82-88 in his career with a 4.19 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP and 3-1 in his four starts against the Cubs, while Cahill is 12-4 in his 23 starts and five relief apps in interleague matchups.
Both teams have lost three straight games with Lester and Cahill on the mound. However, Lester is playing in a better for than Cahill, and the Angels are 7-14 against the left-handed starting pitcher this season, so take the hosts to win this battle.

- Boston Bruins vs. St. Louis Blues
The Bruins routed the Blues 7-2 in Game 3 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final to take a 2-1 lead in the series. The Eastern Conference champs put on a terrific offensive performance, winning the 1st period 3-0 and converting all their four power-play opportunities.
The Blues took more shots than the Bruins, but Tuukka Rask was brilliant between the pipes, and the Finnish goalie is the Bruins’ great strength with a 1.91 GAA and a .939 save percentage this postseason.
The Blues will be in dire straits if they afford another loss on the home ice, but the Bruins look unbeatable when playing at a high level. Boston has won nine of its last ten contests overall and is riding a five-game winning streak on the road, while St. Louis has dropped six of its previous 11 games at home. The Bruins’ offense seems far better than the Blues’, especially in power-play situations, so take the visitors at money line odds.
