- Boston Red Sox vs. Kansas City Royals
The Red Sox continue to play in a shaky form, entering the Royals series with just three wins over their last nine outings and four wins in their previous nine showings on the road. The matchup with the Royals is a perfect opportunity for the Red Sox to improve their record, as Kansas City has won only two of their last 11 games prior to the opening game of this series on Tuesday.
Chris Sale will get the ball for the Red Sox, and the seven-time All-Star is having a nightmare season. The left-hander is 1-7 in 12 starts with a 4.35 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP, while the reigning champs are 3-3 in his previous six starts. However, Sale is 104-69 in his career with a 2.95 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP and 11-10 in his 23 starts and 34 relief apps against the Royals.
On the other side, Jakob Junis will toe the slab for the Royals, and he’s 4-5 in 12 starts this season with a 5.35 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP, while the Royals are 1-4 in Junis’ previous five starts. The right-hander is 22-20 in his career with a 4.54 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP, and this will be his second-ever start against the Red Sox, pitching six innings in a 7-6 victory last season.
However, the Royals have been really struggling lately, and the reigning champions are listed as strong favorites for a reason. Also, the Red Sox have won five of their last seven encounters with the Royals with Chris Sale on the mound, and their ace will have to turn the things around at some point. Five of Boston’s last six wins and nine of Kansas City’s previous ten home losses came by two or more runs, so take the Red Sox to cover the spread.

FREE NBA BETTING PICK OF THE DAY
- Toronto Raptors vs. Golden State Warriors
The Warriors overcame the Raptors 109-104 in Game 2 in Canada to even the NBA Finals. The reigning champs improved defensively a lot and put on an excellent performance in the third quarter when they outscored the Raptors by 13 points. However, Klay Thompson suffered a hamstring injury and is listed as questionable for Game 3; Kevon Looney is out with a fractured collar bone, while Kevin Durant will miss another game due to a calf injury.
On the other side, Kawhi Leonard is playing through pain in his knee, but the Claw dropped 34 points on Sunday. Kawhi will need more help from his teammates to beat the Dubs on the road, while KD’s absence is wonderful news for the Raptors.
The wounded Warriors are listed as 5.5-point favorites, but with the unclear situation around Klay Thompson, it’s pretty difficult to make a wager. Playing with a hamstring injury could properly limit Klay’s performance, so the Warriors will be quite short-handed which is a great opportunity for the Raptors to upset the odds and win Game 3. Take the visitors to cover.

Montreal is coming off a tough 3-0 loss to Orlando this past Saturday, suffering their third defeat in the last five outings along with one win and a draw. On the other side, Seattle is on a two-game losing streak following a 2-1 defeat at Dallas on Saturday, while the Sounders have won two of their last nine games overall along with three losses and four ties.
Eight of the Sounders’ last ten outings and four of the Impact’s previous six contests overall saw both teams scoring. Their last H2H duel in Montreal ended in a 2-2 draw two years ago, and we should see a similar scenario on this one, considering all defensive problems on both sides. Take both teams to find the net.
