It’s an AFC West showdown on Sunday when the Denver Broncos travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. These two teams already faced off this year in Week 4, when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Broncos in Denver, 27-23. Second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 304 yards in that game and Kareem Hunt ran for another hundred 21. Kansas City has won the last six games in this series dating back to November 2015 and leads the all-time series 62-55-0.

The Denver Broncos offense has been having difficulty scoring points this season, so the defense took matters into their own hands on Sunday, intercepting three passes and returning to of them for touchdowns in the 45-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Denver got things rolling right from the start when Todd Davis intercepted a Josh Rosen pass and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown just 59 seconds into the game. A little less than six minutes later, the Broncos used a little trickery as Emmanuel Sanders took the reverse and passed to Courtland Sutton for a 28-yard touchdown pass. Arizona got a Phil Dawson field-goal cut the deficit to 11, but Chris Harris, Jr. would intercept a Rosen pass and returned it 53 yards to give Denver a 21-3 lead heading into the second quarter.
Denver would add two more touchdowns. The first came on a 64-yard strike from Case Keenum to Sanders. Royce Freeman would score from 1 yard out with 21 seconds left in the half.
Arizona would add a touchdown after the break, but Denver would score the final 10 points of the game. The first seven came on a 28-yard touchdown run by Phillip Lindsay, and the second was on a 41-yard field goal by Brandon McManus.
Denver is averaging 23.6 points per game but is yielding 23.4. They’re averaging 376.4 yards of total offense, but are giving up 378. The Broncos are 1-2-0 on the road this season.
Chiefs Crush Bengals on Sunday Night, 45-10
Patrick Mahomes continues his red-hot start, throwing for 358 yards and four touchdowns as the Kansas City Chiefs crushed the Cincinnati Bengals, 45-10. Kansas City would take a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Mahomes passed to running back Kareem Hunt who barreled in the end zone for a 6-yard touchdown.
In the second quarter, the Chiefs would take total command of this game. The scoring began when Mahomes connected with Hunt for the second time in the game, this time for a 15 yard touchdown pass. Cincinnati would cut the deficit to seven before Mahomes found receiver Demetrius Harris for a 17-yard touchdown. A field-goal made it 24-7 heading into the break.
In the second half, the Chiefs would extend their lead to 31. Hunt scored from 2 yards out before Ron Parker intercepted an Andy Dalton pass and returned it 33 yards for a touchdown. After a Bengals field-goal, Mahomes threw his fourth touchdown pass of the game, a 3-yard completion to Tyreek Hill to complete the scoring.
Kansas City is a perfect 3-0-0 at home this season. They have the number one offense in the NFL, averaging 37.1 points per game while putting up 437.4 yards on average. On defense, they are allowing 26 points per game and 435.5 yards of offense.

The Winner Prediction
Kansas City has been dominating this series of late, but not just in terms of victories. Denver is 0-6 ATS in the last six meetings between these two teams, as Kansas City has continuously covered and will likely do so here as well. Denver is struggling offensively away and benefited last week off of the performance of their defense, which they cannot count on against an incredibly potent Chiefs offense. Sadly for Broncos fans, they are going see very much the same thing that Bengals fans did on Sunday night.

The Total
The Chiefs are averaging 37.1 points per game, meaning all that they need is 18 out of Denver for the total to go over. However, that may be completely unnecessary. Against the two other “best” teams in the AFC, the Cincinnati Bengals, and New England Patriots, Kansas City put up 85 total points, meaning they may score 44 or 45 on their own. The safe bet is truly to go over in this contest.
