SITPicks.com 9 Golf 9 Draft Kings Rundown Bets for the Masters Tournament

The Masters – Thursday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. ET

The grace, the pageantry, the azaleas, the sandwiches — and your rear end falling asleep as you sit in sweats on your couch for four days. We’re not planning to sweat too much, though: take the two major champions who each won last month, and who are vying for their first green jackets.

2020 U.S. Open winner Bryson DeChambeau has never performed well at Augusta (best finish: 21st as the low amateur in 2016). But his run of form since last year’s majors — including his win at last month’s Arnold Palmer Invitational — makes him a no-brainer play. He also looks (even more) like the Terminator on the driving range.

2017 PGA Champion Justin Thomas has recorded progressively better finishes every year at The Masters — 39th, 22nd, 17th, 12th and 4th — and just won golf’s fifth major, The Players.

Two favorites, two extremely different blazer measurements. One of them wins.

Picks: Bryson DeChambeau (+1000) and Justin Thomas (+1100)

We also like: Xander Schauffele Top 5 (+500) and Top 10 (+225)

Prop

Jordan Spieth won his first PGA Tour event in almost four years. He was originally a longshot to win this week, and now he’s the fourth favorite. No disrespect to the former Masters champ, but he basically just won on his home course, so this newfound hype doesn’t warrant his odds.

While we would never recommend betting Spieth to miss the cut at +400 (😉), a much more reasonable bet is taking fellow former Longhorn Scottie Scheffler — who was fourth at the PGA Championship — to finish in a higher position than Spieth.

Pick: Scottie Scheffler over Jordan Spieth (+120)

Parlay

Let’s head north of the border for some action on the ice. In Ottawa, the Senators will be trotting out Marcus Hogberg — the owner of an .859 save percentage (!) this season — in goal, so Connor McDavid and company should feast.

In Toronto, the Canadiens come into town with major injury trouble, as they lost Brendan Gallagher (thumb) and Carey Price (upper body) during Monday’s contest. Look for Jack Campbell and the Leafs to stay hot.

Pick: Oilers and Maple Leafs parlay (+151)

Bold Bet

One of the best parts of betting golf majors is taking a flier (aka lottery ticket) on a longshot — especially when they’re in form in the current season. Matthew Fitzpatrick fits the bill here: he’s finished 11th or better in his last four Tour starts, and he hasn’t missed a cut at Augusta since he placed seventh in 2016. We like the young Englishman’s value, and we recommend his Top 5 and Top 10 plays for big plus money if he comes up short.

Pick: Matthew Fitzpatrick (+4500 | Top 5: +550 | Top 10: +275)

Degenerate Corner

The Masters is a great way to get outside of your comfort zone and send it. As mentioned, golf gambling gives bettors the opportunity to go for home run shots they normally wouldn’t. Sure, you may miss one or most of your wagers, but hitting even one is a one-way ticket to Moneytown. It also makes you insufferable (in a good way) to all of your friends and family for at least a year if you’re right.

Your turn: Give us your Masters’ bets. Anyone that cashes gets a shoutout on Monday!

SHOUTOUT: Hope you listened to us on Real Madrid (easy money). No submissions cashed this time out, but one Nicholas Hennion (@nickhennion) did push on Manchester City-Borussia Dortmund over 3, so that’s worth at least half a shoutout. Good job not losing, Nick!
