New Denver Broncos Head Coach: Vance Joseph

Jan 11, 2017

General Manager John Elway made the official announcement via his Twitter Account on January 11, 2017 at 2:43 PM. After a disappointing year following Peyton Manning and his Super Bowl 50 departure the Broncos are looking to rebuild. Hired from the Miami Dolphins Vance Joseph was the defensive coordinator for the Fins and will be taking over as the new head coach of the Broncos starting in the 2017-2018 NFL season.

Vance will be receiving a four-year contract and leaves after being a defensive coordinator for only 1 season. Before he coached in the Sunshine State he coached for the Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, and was a position coach for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Miami head coach Adam Gase said of the coach “He has such a great personality and such a strong personality—that alpha-type personality where he demands a lot from players and they give him everything he has.”
