New Orleans Saints Fullback Michael Burton Has COVID-19 Game vs. Lions to be postponed

Breaking news here from the Sports Information Traders news desk New Orleans Saints Michael Burton has contracted the COVID-19 Virus and will be causing the game vs the Detroit Lions game to be postopned.

Fullback Burton was on the flight to Detroit Michigan when his positive COVID-19 test came back. Now the Saints are testing everybody who has come into contact with him and providing in depth contract tracing. This is the first week with COVID-19 breakouts from the President Donald Trump and First Lady to The Tennessee Titans closing their facility last Monday with 18 players and staff testing positive this past week.

Cam Newton and the New England Patriots will also be postponing their game as he is Asymptomatic and hopes to be able to play by Tuesday of next week. In addition to those NFL cases we also have a postponement of the Steelers Titans game to week 7 of the NFL season.

The league is going to be catious and undergo intense testing of all Detroit Lions players and New Orleans Saints players before giving the clear to play but as of now the game will not happen and will be postponed until the health clearance is in.

Contact tracing have identified three players that have come into close contact with Burton, including star running back Alvin Kamara. Florio is reporting that the Saints are waiting on testing of seven players, including a retest of Burton.
