SITPicks.com 9 NFL 9 NFL Wild Card Weekend Betting Preview

Games start on Saturday January 15th and we get 3 nights in a row of NFL Playoff action. With games on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday in this new NFL playoff format. Below is a preview with opening odds for those who want to bet on the games.

Saturday January 15, 2022

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cincy Bengals Line opened at (-6.5 points with an over under of 49 points)

Kick off is at 4:30 p.m. ET – While The Las Vegas Raiders outlasted the L.A. Chargers on Sunday they look like they are in trouble, Why? Given it was week 18 but they blew a 15 point 4th quarter lead and have led a season of lucky wins in 3 different games which means they barely made the playoffs. The Bengals looking ahead and thankful they got the best QB to come out of LSU rested their team in a loss to their division rival the Cleveland Browns. Cincinnati is coming into the 2022 NFL playoffs as the number 4 seed winning the AFC East above Pittsburgh & Baltimore. The Raiders are the 5th seed and as a team that plays in a dome heading east from Pacific Time to East Coast time on a cold Cincinnati day expect the Bengals to celebrate with a win.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (-4.5 points, Total 43.5 points) 8:15 p.m. ET

Division rivalry with two of the best teams in the AFC. They split during the regular season and are both accustomed to playing in severely cold weather. The Bills blew out the Patriots and the opening line was at -4.5 points for the Buffalo Bills. This will be a very close game and one that you should not bet on unless you are targeting the total. This will be the most thrilling game of the weekend for AFC fans. Don’t expect the line to move further then 4 or 5 points. If you like teasers this is a game to tease.

Sunday January 16 NFL Playoff Games

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Bucs (-9, Total 49 Points) 1 p.m. ET

The Tampa Bay Bucs have been the hottest team this year and yet they only beat the Eagles 28-22 during the regular season. What the stats may not tell you is that they were up 28-7 and if you watched the Eagles get blown out by The Dallas Cowboys on Saturday then you will not be surprised to learn that the line opened up at -7 points and rose up to -9 points pretty fast.

San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys (-3, Total 49.5 Points) 4:30 p.m. ET

This is the sole game this weekend with a -3 point line. The smallest spread of any game this weekend and one to watch for excitement. The contrasting styles of play and the way the 49ers squeezed into the playoffs is one made for miracles. Garoppolo is a little bit off his game and Dallas is hot when throwing but slow on the ground against good defenses.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs (-12.5, Total 47 Points) 8:15 p.m. ET

If I were to tell you the worst NFL team this year the Detroit Lions beat the Steelers and yet they are in the playoffs, with a negative yards per play differential and a very ugly point differential, so we have the biggest point spread here of -12.5 points. Kansas City blew out the Steelers earlier this year 36-10 and don’t expect this game to be close as Big Ben looks to play his last and final NFL game on Sunday.

Monday January 17, 2022

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-4.5, Total 50.5 points) 8:15 p.m. ET

The Arizona Cardinals have fallen from their high point that Kyler Murray got them to early on in the season. The Rams lost in the 49ers game we talked about above and the Cardinals are not reliable so we don’t know what to expect either a really close game with the Cardinals winning or the Rams blowing them out. Nothing in between is predicted for this matchup,
