SITPicks.com 9 sports betting picks 9 Olympics Parlay Bet Tips

Parlay Play of the weekend starts tonight for those wagering on the 2021 Olympics in Japan and want some bold bets courtesy of Doug & the Rundown. Read below for the Olympic bet of the weekend.

First Leg – Friday, 11:30 p.m. ET

There are massive favorites in the first round of the men’s Olympic tennis tournament, so let’s parlay them together for some value. The two biggest favorites we like, Daniil Medvedev and Diego Schwartzman, are vastly better players than their opponents and should have little trouble.

The shorter favorite, Frances Tiafoe, will have to rely on his positive momentum to carry him to victory here. His big wins over Stefanos Tsitsipas and Vasek Pospisil at Wimbledon should give him just enough to win against Sonwoo Kwon.

Pick: Daniil Medvedev, Frances Tiafoe, and Diego Schwartzman Parlay (-111)*

Chicago White Sox @ Milwaukee Brewers – 8:10 p.m. ET

Lucas Giolito is getting punchouts every which way lately, recording nine in 5.1 innings against the Orioles, then eight in a complete game against the usually strikeout-stingy Astros. Tonight, he’ll travel to Milwaukee to take on a Brewers squad that has struck out the third-most times in MLB this season. Considering his tremendous 11.7 K/9 in away games this season, we like Giolito to get over this high mark once again.

Pick: Lucas Giolito Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-110)*

Bold Bet

Olympic Men’s Street Skateboarding – Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET

Let’s get extreme. American Nyjah Huston comes into this event as the favorite, but only at +100*. Japanese hometown hero Yuto Horigome, meanwhile, beat Huston in this event at the 2019 Minneapolis X-Games, as well as at the World Championships just a few weeks ago. He’s a very live underdog and could pull off the upset with home familiarity.

Pick: Yuto Horigome +180*
Degenerate Corner

The next couple weeks are going to be so special. Five years ago, when the Olympics were in Rio de Janeiro, sports betting was illegal in all 50 states; now it’s legal in almost half of them, providing us our first opportunity to bet on things we almost never can. We’ve given you some examples but there are tons of possibilities. Want to bet on archery? Go for it. Canoeing? Now’s your chance. Rhythmic gymnastics? We won’t stop you. This event is only here for two weeks every four (sometimes five) years, so take advantage while the getting is good.
