This November, the nation will have a very important duty to carry out. Everyone of legal voting age will have to decide who the lesser of the two evils are between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Both have their supporters, but both are also widely considered to be deeply flawed. Sadly, one or the other will end up being the next President of the United States.
But we can get rid of them in four years, and it looks like we will have a candidate that will say just as many crazy, insane stuff as Donald Trump—but one that will be funny on purpose and will not mean anything hateful.

Who could this person be? None other than Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett. He made the comment while appearing on a SiriusXM radio show:
BREAKING: @mosesbread72 says that if Donald Trump can run for president so can he. He will be running for President in 2020.
He’ll certainly have plenty of name recognition (just like Trump), but he’ll also have many of the same problems (lack of military service, no political experience, etc.) too. He will not be 35 (minimum required age), but he’ll turn 35 before he’d have to take the oath.
Assuming the “12s” back him up, he’ll have a nice, rabid fan base supporting him. As an NFL player, he will have access to some wealthy potential donors in his fellow football stars and maybe even an owner or two.
That is–if he’s serious.
While he is known for saying some pretty crazy and outlandish things, it is not always easy to tell when he is just kidding. He doesn’t have the background most candidates do, but he has been quite adamant lately about athletes using their celebrity to do some good.
He even got in a little trouble for it because he called out Cam Newton in a statement about NFL players being more socially active like NBA players. He ended up apologizing for doing so and stated that he just wants there to be a united front coming from the NFL (like the NBA seems to have).
His apology could be a result of what Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently stated. Rodgers thinks that more players don’t speak out because there will be repercussions from the league. He thinks it has something to do with the culture Adam Silver has created in the NBA relative to the one the NFL has:
“One-hundred percent. And I think it starts with leadership,” Rodgers admitted (CBSSports). “I think [NBA commissioner Adam Silver] has done a good job promoting that type of environment. And I think some guys in the NFL are probably worried about repercussions on speaking their mind from the league. … Those guys are doing it and they feel comfortable doing it. I think if more guys maybe did in our league, it would create a domino effect possibly.”
Guys like former punter Chris Kluwe and defensive lineman Brendon Ayanbadejo would probably agree.
So if Bennett runs and wins, maybe then he’ll be safe from the long arm of the NFL (but then his new job would force him to retire from the game so the NFL couldn’t touch him).
