The NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Final continue this weekend, so this Friday will see just one game in Major League Soccer along with 15 games in Major League Baseball which promises plenty of excitements for the bettors.

The majority of tonight’s matchups are considered as tight and quite unpredictable by the bookies, but some teams will take the field as strong favorites, making it easier for you to make your betting decisions.

Hereof, we’ll take a closer look at those games to see who could satisfy the odds and who could turn out to be a bust. Colorado, San Diego, and LA Dodgers are all listed as strong favorites in their matchups Friday night. The Colorado Rockies opened as massive -249 favorites to beat the Toronto Blue Jays in the opening game of a three-game series at Coors Field in Denver. While the Rockies are playing in a solid form, winning eight of their last ten games overall, the Blue Jays have dropped seven of their previous eight contests and four of their last five outings on the road.

Also, the Blue Jays will start the 16-year old veteran Edwin Jackson, losing in all his previous three starts this season, while the right-hander is 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP.

On the other side, the Rockies will counter with German Marquez who’s 5-2 in 12 starts this season with a 3.56 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP, and the Rockies have won seven of Marquez’ last nine starts. Colorado is 10-3 in its last 13 outings at home, and just four of those ten wins came by two or more runs, so -142 odds at the run line are not tempting enough.

Rockies vs Blue Jays Betting Tips for Today

The San Diego Padres welcome the Miami Marlins in the first of a three-game series, and they are listed as -155 money line favorites and +135 run line favorites. The Padres won six of their last nine games overall and three of those six wins came by two or more runs, while just one of the Padres’ last five wins at home came by two or more runs.

On the other side, the Marlins won nine of their previous 13 games overall, but they are 4-8 in the last 12 outings on the road. Likewise, the Marlins lost five of their last six meetings with the Padres.

Caleb Smith will get the ball for the Marlins who lost three of his previous four starts by two or more runs, while Joey Luchessi will take the mound for San Diego, and he’s 3-3 in ten starts this season. The Padres’ pitching staff is the 9th-best in the league with a 4.01 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP (4th-best), while the Marlins are the most inefficient team in the league with 3.17 runs per contest, so take the hosts to cover at +135 odds.

One of the most interesting games of the day will take place at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles where the NL West leader LA Dodgers host the NL East leader Philadelphia Phillies. Both teams have been playing very well lately, but the Dodgers are listed as -160 money line favorites.

Prior to Thursday’s clash with the Mets, the Dodgers have won 11 of their last 14 games overall and 16 of their previous 19 outings at home, while seven of their previous eight wins in LA came by two or more runs.

The Phillies won nine of their last 13 outings and eight of their previous 12 showings on the road, so they might be underestimated on this one. Philadelphia is 7-4 in its last 11 meetings with the Dodgers, but the Phillies are just 3-9 in the last 12 H2H duels in LA. Also, the Dodgers covered the spread in eight of those nine wins.

Kenta Maeda will get the starting nod for the hosts, and he’s 6-2 in ten starts this term with a 3.67 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. Maeda will look for his fourth straight victory. Jake Arrieta will get the ball for the Phillies, and he’s 5-4 in 11 starts this season with a 3.60 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. All of Arrieta’s four losses came by two or more runs. Considering all the facts, take the Dodgers to cover.

You can place a three-team parlay with the money line odds on these favorites, or try to earn a lot of money with the run-line parlay. Still, if you take higher bets, go with the Padres or the Dodgers.
