The Colorado Rockies are on an eight-game winning streak, improving to the 2nd spot of the NL West table 9.5 games behind the Dodgers and just half a game behind the wild-card spot.

The Phillies will start Jerad Eickhoff who’s 2-3 in eight starts this season with a 4.10 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP, and they won five of Jerad’s last seven starts. Eickhoff is 3-0 in his four starts against the Padres with a 1.96 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. The Padres will counter with rookie Chris Paddack who’s 4-3 in ten starts with a 2.40 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP.
Elsewhere, the Toronto Blue Jays will have a mountain to climb against the Yankees at home. The Blue Jays are riding a six-game losing streak and have won just one of their last 11 games overall, while they are 3-10 in the last ten outings at home. The Yankees have won 15 of their last 19 outings and seven of their last eight showings on the road.
The Oakland Athletics are on a five-game losing streak following ten straight wins, and the A’s visit the Los Angeles Angels tonight. The Angels have recorded seven wins in their last ten outings.
The Houston Astros will take on the Seattle Mariners, and the Astros have won 15 of their last 20 games overall including a 4-2 victory in the opener in Seattle last night. The Mariners have dropped 15 of their previous 18 outings.
