Arizona Diamondbacks vs Colorado Rockies  Betting Pick – 8:40 p.m. ET

The Diamondbacks set a new (terrible) MLB record by losing an astounding 24 road contests in a row from the end of April to the end of June. Since then, they’ve lost 13 of their 17 away games straight up. Arizona is also 25-34 ATS in road games, tied for the second-worst mark in MLB.

Contrarily, the Rockies are a really good home team, posting a 41-21 SU record, which improves to 22-5 when they’re given home favorite status. They’re also 15-12 ATS as a home favorite, very impressive when you consider the plus-money at play.

Colorado will be starting Austin Gomber, who has been remarkable at home, going 5-1 with a 1.70 ERA and 0.85 WHIP. He also recently became a father, and we’re big believers in dad strength. We’ll take the Rocks to roll.

Pick: Rockies -1.5 (-105)

Cannons vs. Atlas – Saturday, 2:30 p.m. ET

In each of the first two matchups between these two, Atlas came away with a one-goal victory, the most recent being two games ago. It’s difficult to beat a team three times in a season, especially considering the close margin of victory in the first two contests.

The key words here are experience and momentum. Despite being a 2021 expansion team, Cannons are actually the more experienced side, drawing their star power from Paul Rabil and Lyle Thompson. Atlas, on the other hand, generates most of their scoring through rookie Jeff Teat and second-year middie Bryan Costabile. Both are going to have phenomenal careers, but still lack professional playoff experience.

By winning last week to punch their ticket to the playoffs, Cannons are also carrying all of the momentum, whereas this young Atlas core is riding a low after failing to secure the No. 1 seed with a win.

Pick: Cannons +1.5 (-105)

Parlay

First Leg – Saturday, 7:30 a.m. ET

With Serie A kicking off this weekend, European soccer is now in full swing, so let’s do a multi-league three-teamer. First, Liverpool will look to keep their redemption season rolling in an easy home matchup with Burnley.

In Italy, Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus should roll in Udinese. Finally, in Spain, Atletico Madrid have a very winnable home match against Elche.

Pick: Liverpool, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid Moneyline Parlay (+111)

Prop

Miami Marlins @ Cincinnati Reds – 7:10 p.m. ET

Despite its reputation as a hitter’s park, Great American Ball Park is also a great place for pitchers to get strikeouts, ranking fifth by the metric in park factor. Enter Sonny Gray, who shows an impressive 11.2 K/9 and has gotten over this prop mark in three of his last four starts. The Marlins come to town with 1,178 punchouts — the third-most in MLB — giving massive appeal to the over on Gray’s strikeout prop.

Pick: Sonny Gray Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Bold Bet

Wolverhampton vs. Tottenham – Sunday, 9:00 a.m. ET

Tottenham supporters are buzzing after a huge 1-0 victory over defending champs Manchester City. Wolverhampton will try to get back on track after its own 1-0 defeat in Leicester. Wolves get home-field advantage this time, however, and still have enough talent to power past this Spurs squad. Sharp bettors agree, apparently, pushing this line in Wolves’ favor.

Pick: Wolves +220
